Men's Mission

And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” - Nehemiah 4:14

Empowering, Equipping, and Discipling Men for Kingdom Impact in the 21st Century
Vision Statement
It is the vision of The Remnant to impact and empower the male believer with transformative truths that enable men to experience a richer, fuller relationship with Christ. Our approach is a practical, pragmatic assessment of obstacles and the removal of blockages that have historically deterred them from being successful in Kingdom growth. It is our vision to enhance and guide men into Biblically sound relationships in their families and churches by making continual deposits into their spiritual, emotional, and economic development as they seek their rightful place in the Kingdom of God!
Purpose
The Remnant's overall purpose is to develop men into becoming passionate disciples for Christ. Our desire is to move from just a Men’s Ministry, to a Ministry “To” Men. This move will require a mindset and process change that begins from the very first day a man joins our church.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to build men’s faith, relationships and ministry, through resources we obtain, events we produce and ongoing leadership development. Create an atmosphere of support, encouragement and prayer for the pastor that is driven by the Men's Ministry. This ministry is about men encountering Jesus Christ and being developed in their faith to be all that Jesus wants them to be.
Core Values
Word of God:
We believe in the power and absolute truth of God’s Word. We believe that anointed teaching, personal study and mediation in God’s Word renews the mind and transforms lives. This includes equipping and training for the work of ministry. II Tim. 3:16-17, Romans 12:1-2, I Peter 1:22-23, Hebrews 4:12

Family:
We believe that the church is called to bring healing to the wounded family. This includes strengthening marriage, encouraging parents, recovery from divorce and ministering to singles, children and youth. Genesis 12:3, Ephesians 5:21-23

Community:
We believe that the larger community is our responsibility. The church is called to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free in the power of the Holy Spirit. This includes healing of spirit, soul and body through the Word of God, anointed prayer, counseling and supportive relationships. Matthew 5:35-42, Luke 4:18, Acts 4:29-30

Excellence:
We believe that Biblical excellence (doing the very best with what God has given) honors God and inspires people. This involves working with a strategic focus and then evaluating and reviewing our actions. Daniel 5:12, Philippians 1:10

Prayer:
We believe that prayer is one of God’s main ways of preparing His Church to become the end-time Bride. This includes individual, family and corporate prayer. Jeremiah 33:3, James 5:16

Relationships:
The individual matters to God and to us. Genuine relationships should permeate every part of church life. We are committed to one another and team ministry. John 13:34-35, Ephesians 4:16, Nehemiah 3

Character:
We believe that we are called to live a life of character, which includes honesty, integrity, humility, meekness, self-discipline, teachability, perseverance and a servant heart. Luke 5:30-32, Matthew 18:14
