Our Leadership Team

Senior Pastors

David and Cathy Sellstrom

They have been instrumental leaders of The Remnant since 2010. They were installed as Senior Pastors in 2018. They are called to equip the saints for the work of the ministry by building Solid Lives through the Word of God.

Pastor Cathy started in 2008 on the Prophetic Team. She has lead the Prophetic Team since 2014, lead Women’s Ministry, taught classes in Prophetic and Healing and is the organizational back bone of The Remnant. She has a degree in accounting and leads our administrative operations. You will find Pastor Cathy most Sundays ministering in her prophetic gifting and loving on all who step in the door. Her banner scripture is Ephesians 3:20.

Pastor David, attended Stephen Olford’s Institute for Biblical Preaching and the Institute of Pastoral Studies. He held an international Foursquare Pastor's license for 15 years. David’s first assignment was as a Youth Pastor for Bethel Assembly of God Church in Yreka, CA. He was on the Worship Team for Bethel Assembly of God and the Youth Pastor at Little Country Church of Burney, CA. Pastor David was Senior Pastor of Solid Rock Foursquare Church in Burney CA for 18 years. He moved to Olympia WA to manage the Building Campaign at Church of Living Water in 2005. Pastor David became the Associate Pastor of New Hope Ministry Center in 2014. Pastor David is an accomplished musician and his banner scripture is Isaiah 61.

Pastor David and Cathy reside in Olympia, WA. They are seasoned business owners and stellar entrepreneurs. They enjoy spending time with their family, cooking and playing golf. They have a blended family of 7 beautiful children and 12 grandchildren. They love the Word of God and want to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever they go.

Felix Peguero

Felix is a Financial Planner with Asiron Wealth Group. He has over 18 years of experience in financial planning and investment wealth management. Felix and his wife, Anna, have 1 daughter and 2 sons. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, photography and spending time with family and friends.

Sam Knutson

Sam is retired from 38 years as the Comptroller for the Judicial Section of WA State. He teaches classes in Economics for State of WA Employees. Sam and his wife, Keturah, have 1 son. The are the Worship Leaders at The Remnant Church and enjoy traveling and making music with their friends.

Tom Deering

Tom is retired from Deering & Nelson Construction. He has a BA in marketing from WSU and an MBA in finance from UPS. Tom and his wife, Kathy, have been married since 1970 and have a son and two daughters as well as six wonderful grandchildren. In their spare time Kathy and Tom enjoy traveling throughout the US and attending high school sporting events.

Maxine Johnson

Maxine is a Clinical Nutritional Therapist. She founded and developed TempleFit in 2004. Maxine has 3 grown Sons. In her spare time, Maxine continues her education and reads.

Mary Sandifer

Mary has been married to her husband Lea for over 60 years. She is the mother of 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She enjoys sewing and has provided quilts for hundreds of people. She is the mother of Pastor Cathy Sellstrom and spends much of her time heroically supporting the ministry and vision of The Remnant.

Erling Selstad

Erling is retired from the Olympia Brewery. He leads the Altar and Healing Teams at The Remnant. In his spare time, Erling enjoys reading and spending time with his daughter, son, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Keturah Knutson

Keturah is the IT Director for the Wa State Legislature. She and her husband Sam are the Worship Leaders for The Remnant. Keturah's life verse is Ps 100:

4-5. She enjoys traveling, music and spending time with her husband and 2 children.

Darcy Jorgenson

Darcy is a BOA with Edward Jones. She married her college sweetheart, Jens, 36 years ago. They have raised their 2 kids in Tenino, WA. They love to ski, mostly at White Pass and spend time out doors in the divine and spectacular Pacific NW. Darcy can be found most summer days prayer paddling around Offut Lake. She is proud to take our state & country back for Jesus with The Remnant body of believers.
